Section Four – Lesson 1/2- HPB
Hypnosis throughout History and hypnosis in books
All hypnosis books are almost taken the same work of others with just re framing and changing words. That’s because hypnosis is simple.
One of the best books of hypnotherapy is called “Hypnotherapy” by David Elman.
Another book “Hypnosis, new tool in the nursing practice” by Westwood Publishing California. This book talks about nurses and some stories about hypnosis in hospitals, especially hypnosis in anesthesia.
There are many other good hypnosis books can be found online and in book stores and also you might come across some books providing misconception and disinformation about hypnosis for many reasons which we will cover later in this course.
My philosophy about hypnosis
To keep an open mind and never stop learning. Regardless how much you learn and know about hypnosis, you must keep an open mind and keep learning.
The “I have learnt enough or I know everything people kind of people” will not further progress in their knowledge. Don’t let your ego stand in your way because no one knows “everything” about hypnosis since the subconscious mind is very deep and full of mysteries. However, that shouldn’t stop us from learning as we are progressing in knowledge and science. That will help us in many things such as healing and other natural therapies.
